Saxion Centre for Entrepreneurship
We support students in founding their own companies. Our starting point lies within the principles of social entrepreneurship. And by applying the newest methods and technology, we aim to maximize people’s potential. We contribute to a vital job market and new (regional) economies by cooperating with regional businesses.
Entrepreneurship into practice
We offer a wide range of facilities to encourage enterprising students. We provide advice and coaching to you while you start your own business. A selection of our activities and programs:
- Entrepreneurial Meeting Point
Would you like personal advice? Feel free to visit us at the Entrepreneurial Meeting Point in Enschede or Deventer and ask one of our advisors. Whatever your question is, we’d be happy to help! The Entrepreneurial Meeting Point’s goal is to stimulate an enterprising attitude and entrepreneurship among students.
- Startup Center
If you want to start your own business, or already started an entrepreneurship, and if you’re about to graduate, the Startup center can help you graduate within your own company. We also provide students with the Startup work book (free downloads in Dutch and English available here), a book that helps entrepreneurs find their ideal business model.
- EW/Saxion Ondernemers Award
Over 800 students are active entrepreneurs alongside their college education. To stimulate those who start their own business, Saxion and owner of EW Facility Services Eric Wentink (ex-student at Saxion) created the EW/Saxion Entrepreneurship Award. The grand prize is € 5.000,- and a one-year-long support period provided by EW Facility Services.
- Fast Forward
Congratulations, you graduated! So what is your next step? If you’re not sure what your options are, you are welcome to apply for a traineeship at Fast Forward. Our advisors will help you broaden your horizon – you work at three different companies for a duration of two years, you’ll gain lots of work experience and participate in an educational program filled with helpful masterclasses and trainings.
